Customer Discussions are a relatively new feature on Amazon allowing customers to ask questions, share insights, and give opinions about books and other products. However, since this feature appears near the bottom of increasingly crowded Amazon detail pages, customer discussions are used very infrequently. No mechanism exists to notify authors or publishers of questions requiring a follow-up.
